Lyft St. Patrick's Day Campaign

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

Happy St. Patrick's Day! In honor of the holiday, I thought I would share a throwback St. Patrick's Day campaign we ran a few years back. Working as a contract designer/leprechaun for Lyft I helped evolve the Isometric illustration system by building different campaigns. I was responsible for leading the design efforts of these campaigns and was tasked to use isometric illustrations to bring them to life.

One of my favorite campaigns was St. Patrick's Day. It was a fun challenge to create an illustration that captured the spirit of the holiday. I started by brainstorming different elements of St. Patrick's Day, such as rainbows, pots of gold, leprechaun hats, and shamrocks. I then worked to incorporate these elements into the illustrations in a way that was visually appealing and represented the holiday in a unique way. Here is a look at how the corned beef and cabbage are made.

After trying out different iterations I went with the above design for the campaign as it conveyed to the Lyft drivers that St. Patricks Day was a good day to earn and the illustration is simple to understand. The four-leaf clover adds another subtle nod to the holiday.
