I was honored to be asked to contribute to Atlassian's Work Life blog under the art direction of Sara Van Slyke. This was a unique opportunity for me to showcase my talents and contribute to the blog's visually stunning and, to be frank, kick-ass editorial illustrations.
Atlassian's editorial process for illustrations is truly impressive. Illustrators work with a one-week turnaround time, kicking off on Monday and delivering a polished illustration by the end of the week on Friday. This fast-paced schedule is a testament to the hard work and talent of the illustrators working on the blog.
Working on the editorial illustrations for the Work Life blog was a dream come true, as I had the chance to collaborate with talented and inspiring illustrators like Sari Jack and Joey Shabazz. Their contributions to the blog only added to the already rich and dynamic visual content, making my experience even more rewarding.
One of the highlights of my time working on the Work-Life blog was the opportunity to bring my unique perspective and creativity to the table. I was able to infuse my illustrations with a touch of my personality, all while staying true to the brand's identity and values.
Overall, working on editorial illustrations for Atlassian's Work Life blog was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented individuals and contribute to a blog that so many amazing illustrators have been a part of over the years.
Below you can see the behind the scenes concept that I created early in the process.
